Christmas 2009

What a great weekend! We finally had a white Christmas, something Alex has been asking for since I've known her. Although, since we had most of our immediate family coming over Christmas Eve, it made for some very difficult traveling for some of them. It was so nice having everyone under one roof, and we all seemed to have a great time. Ethan must have been good this year because Santa brought him a ton of toys including a train set, hot wheels, and his favorite toy, a big blue pickup truck Power Wheel. It was cold, but that wasn't going to stop him from driving it until the battery died. After a few close calls with mail boxes and real cars, he started to get the hang of it. I don't know if I'm ready to hand him my Jeep keys, but at least I know he would have the potential to keep it right-side-up and on the road. Ethan's big day at the zoo

My son loves the zoo, we go quite often. Here are some pics that I finally got around to blogging from a couple of weeks ago. Not only did we get to see all of the animals, but when we left there was a big pile of leaves to jump in. Who could pass that up? Certainly not a rambunctious 3 year old and his camera carrying daddy.

Bunch of Pinheads

We scheduled Halloween off so we could take Ethan trick-or-treating that night. Since Saturday is usually a busy photography day, it was a nice change of pace to relax a little and have some fun. We've been wanting to take Ethan bowling to see how he'd like it. Not surprisingly, he loved the idea of knocking stuff down and making a lot of noise... go figure. We had to bring a camera along to capture some of the action because it's kinda what we do.

Ethan turns the big 3

Our son Ethan celebrated his 3rd birthday this week, and what a celebration! We had his party at his favorite four star gourmet pizza/arcade joint: Chuck E. Cheese's. I don't want to brag, but I know some people, and we were even able to fly in the man, err... make that mouse himself for a brief meet and greet and some pics with the birthday boy. Ethan had a great time and won a ton of tickets. What more could a three year old want?
