A great start to 2010

What an amazing week!

The Spring semester started and I decided to try and cram 9 hours into an already busy schedule, but since I thrive on stress I think it is going to be fun.

The ER Program I chair had a huge week. We hosted a luncheon for our upcoming spring event and almost 200 business and church leaders showed up including State Representative Todd Smith and County Commissioner Gary Fickes! We are on track to make repairs to dozens of homes this year for struggling families.

Alex had an awesome bridal shoot on Tuesday and I can't wait until after the wedding so we can post some of the incredible images, and we have another bridal shoot tomorrow at one of my favorite locations!

And of course the best part of my week is when we add more clients to our Creative Eyes family! 2 more bridal consults and bookings mean that we are pretty much booked thru August!!!

So far I'm loving 2010...

I hate to post a blog with out a pic, so I pulled one out of the "I'm gonna blog this when I have more time" file. Here is a photo of my little guy in my bunker pants from last fall. Isn't he the most adorable firefighter you've ever seen?

We've got a ton of weddings, engagements, and bridals coming up in the next few weeks, so check back ofter (and don't forget to leave comments, we love 'em!)

Waco or bust...

For our second shoot yesterday we met Chelsea and Mike in Waco. The temperature rose to a toasty 35 degrees, which compared to 19 earlier in the morning actually felt warm! We started off at the suspension bridge in downtown where Mike asked Chelsea to be his bride. From there we found a few other cool spots. Mike is a big fan of the Houston Texans and wanted some shots with him and Chelsea in their jerseys... they looked so cute! We had a blast shooting in a new location and I think the results were incredible. Here are some of my favs:

A cold kick off for 2010...

When Teresa and John scheduled there engagements back in November I'm pretty sure they never imagined that it would be 19 degrees on the day of the shoot. Still, they were determined not to let a little cold weather get in the way of their plans. The temperature didn't seem to affect them at all. In fact, I think the cold weather just gave them more of a reason to snuggle in front of the camera. They were in great spirits the entire time and this ended up being the perfect shoot to kick off our 2010 season. When you see the pics of Teresa and John smiling in their cool matching outfits keep in mind those are real smiles in sub-freezing temperatures without a coat... this is one tough couple! Here are a few of our favorites from the day:
