Ethan went to school for the first time today! Well, kind of. Although he is extreamely smart, he is still only two and a half. So instead of school, Ethan got to go to a Mother's Day Out program for the first time. Alex was able to capture his entire morning including a healthy breakfast and some posed shots at home with his backpack and lunch box. Being the son of two photographers he is not usually shy in front of the camera (in fact he used to smile at lightning thinking it was a flash). However this morning he got embarassed when she wanted to take pictures at school and even told Alex, "That's enough Mommy!" I think we are going to be the parents that haveto drop their kids off a block away from school because we aren't "cool enough" to be seen by there friends. :)

Jacob's Family Portraits
Jacob is a good friend from work who also as a son named Ethan. Alex and I had a great time shooting pics of his family at his mother-in-law's beautifully landscaped backyard in Fort Worth. It was fun learning the personalities of all the kiddos as we were taking their pictures. I learned that although his son Ethan likes to wear bunker gear every single day, surprisingly he doesn't want to follow in his father's footsteps and become a firefighter... instead he wants to grow up to be a real Batman! (and I think he has the energy to do it!)
